This page is a changing collection of feature requests and design ideas related to music collaboration.
Topics are limited to concepts and art published on the site, curated with community input.
The site will explore ushin shapes for nuanced conversation about the songs, illustrations and project concepts.
Upload Art and Music
After selecting a link from the list of Imbue Songs people will:
- upload covers of songs, song snippets, tracks
- Imbue site will curate and upload recordings
- users to select
- deliberate existing songs
- The deliberation method uses the “ushin semantic screen”, exemplified at u4u.io
- sketch or upload art and development ideas
Spam may force requirement for invitation tokens, or input by forms or semscreen protocol, see below.

Uploads start deliberation
Uploaded semscreens invite deliberation on point.
Here is a mock-up of “packaging” an ushin semscreen for song deliberation:

Display will show song titles in topic region, and timeline markers for facts, with two shape regions auto-completed:
- topic – selected song (snippet) +/- drop-down list of other songs, which, if selected, open a new separate semscreen.
- facts – timeline interval of selection or whole song with options for user to change the musical interval, or branch off with commentary on another interval.
A prompt appears to ” add point(s)” with guidance for semscreen regions are available for input:
- thoughts
- see list
- needs
- see list
- feelings
- see list
- actions
- suggestion
- feature request
- musician request
- upload a song or snippet
- musicians or visual artists
- merits – see Imbue Merit Calculations
Site visitors would apply standard music metadata for the new tunes.

Git for collaboration
The cool idea to store music tracks in git, proposed by Tom Ray of Lorenzo’s Music is more appropriate to a collaboratively built podcast than a way to upload and show .wav files on the imbue site. Git offers versioning only for text, not for sound files.
